What this site is
LLCbyState publishes plain-language guides to forming and maintaining US business entities — LLCs, Corporations, S-Corps, and DBAs — across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. We track filing fees, registered-agent requirements, annual reports, franchise taxes, and federal tax obligations, and we cite each piece of information back to the relevant Secretary of State page or IRS guidance.
What this site is not
We are not a formation service. We do not file paperwork on your behalf, we do not store your business information, and we have no in-house attorneys or CPAs reviewing your specific situation. Our content is general legal/tax information, not legal or tax advice. For advice about your situation, consult a licensed professional in your state.
Who runs LLCbyState
LLCbyState is a property of Indraprastha Innovations (IIPL), based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. IIPL operates a portfolio of niche reference sites focused on regulatory and procedural information. We have no client relationships with any business-formation service and no controlling interest in any registered-agent provider.
How we make money
LLCbyState is funded by display advertising (Google AdSense) and, in the future, may include affiliate links to formation services and registered agents we have evaluated.
